Department of construction and building materials science (CaBMS)
training in four undergraduate educational programs:
– Production of building materials, products and structures;
– Technology and design of light industry products;
The educational program «Construction» is aimed at training graduates who possess professional skills of designing on the basis of BIM-technologies and modern methods of effective organization and conduct of construction works. The transition to the methods of architectural and construction 3D design is carried out through the gradual development of modern software. The modern computer program implementing a resource method of calculation of estimated cost of construction is introduced. In 2017, the educational program “Construction” received a certificate of international specialized accreditation At the Institute of accreditation, certification and quality assurance ACQUIN (Germany). In May 2021, the educational program took the 5th place in the rating of the Independent Accreditation and Rating Agency (NAAR) of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The educational program «Production of building materials, products and structures» is aimed at increasing the competitiveness of graduates who possess the skills of designing resource-saving technologies of durable materials for modern construction; who are able to use scientific achievements in the production process. Active participation of students in scientific research is an indispensable condition for professional training of technologist of construction materials production. Every year students of the specialty are awarded at international, national, University competitions, Olympiads and conferences. The high level of professional training is evidenced by the first positions of the educational program in the rating conducted by the National chamber of entrepreneurs «Atameken». In may 2019, within the framework of international specialized accreditation in the Accreditation center KazSEE, the educational program «Production of building materials, products and structures» was awarded the European quality mark of engineering education EUR-ACE Bachelor. The assignment of the quality mark is an indicator of high standards of training and gives graduates the opportunity to find a job at the enterprises of European countries. In May 2021, the educational program took the 5th place in the rating of the Independent Accreditation and Rating Agency (NAAR) of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The educational program «Technology and design of light industry products» is aimed at training highly qualified, competitive specialists in the field of artistic design, construction, clothing technology for garment enterprises of small and medium-sized businesses, large industrial enterprises, model Houses, as well as specialists for consulting and research activities in the field of fashion and image. Students master the methods of computer design of clothing models using visual programming technology. According to the Independent Kazakhstan Agency «Atameken» the position of RII in the rating of educational programs of universities of Kazakhstan in the specialty «Technology and design of light industry products» in 2018 took the 2nd place. In may 2019, the educational program «Technology and design of light industry products» successfully passed the international specialized accreditation in the Accreditation Center KazSEE. In May 2021, the educational program took the 2nd place in the rating of the Independent Accreditation and Rating Agency (NAAR) of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The educational program «Design» is aimed at training graduates who possess the skills of modern 3D design of industrial design objects. The Department has studios of painting, drawing and design. The material base of studios creates conditions for development of creative abilities of students, acquisition by them of technical and art skills of professional designers.
